Real Madrid shattered Girona’s dream Spanish La Liga run with a 4-0 win in their week 24 game on Saturday.

Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Jr. drew first blood early in the sixth minute at Santiago Bernabeu.

Los Merengues’ young English star Jude Bellingham didn’t waste Vinicius Jr.’s assist and made the score 2-0 in the 35th minute and the first half ended 2-0.

Neither Bellingham nor Real Madrid settled down in the second half and the star midfielder scored another goal in the 54th minute.

Brazilian attacker Rodrygo turned his compatriot Vinicius’ assist into another Real Madrid goal in the 61st minute. 

Real Madrid’s Spanish forward Joselu missed an opportunity to score the fifth goal of his team from a penalty kick in the 91st minute.

Real Madrid cemented their top spot in Spanish La Liga with 61 points, while Girona follow them with 56 points after their third defeat in the league this season.
